Companies invested $376.6 million last year in south central Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Companies invested over $376 million in 2019 throughout south central Kentucky.
That’s one of the headlines in the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual report, which was released Wednesday morning.
According to the report, nearly 1,000 jobs were created in 2019 as a result of those investments.
In addition, eight companies announced expansions in 2019, creating 771 of those new jobs.
The report also mentions that 205 new partners joined the Chamber last year.
Moreover, the Chamber secured the number 1 spot in Site Selection Magazine’s national ranking for economic development performance.
The Chamber oversees 10 counties in south central Kentucky, including Warren, Barren, Edmonson, Hart and Butler counties, among others.
