BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The community is mourning the death of a long-time radio host.

According to a release from Seven Mountains Media, 105.3 The Goat mid-day host Chris Bratcher passed away on Monday. He was 53.

Bratcher was an on-air personality for three decades in the South Central Kentucky community. He is best known for his time as host of “The Local Show with Chris Bratcher” on “The Point.”

Bratcher shone a spotlight on local musicians, bands, and venues, creating a platform to elevate local artists.

“As we mourn this heartbreaking loss, we also celebrate the indelible mark he leaves behind. Chris Bratcher was more than a broadcaster; he was a storyteller, an advocate, a mentor, a colleague, and a friend. Above all, he was a devoted father, and nothing brought him greater pride than his beloved son, Bobby,” states Seven Mountains Media in a release.

WNKY News 40 joins the community in remembering Chris Bratcher. His impact on the South Central Kentucky community and music scene is legendary and will not be forgotten.
