The Community Foundation presents check awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Community Foundation of South-Central Kentucky awarded funding to local organizations to help out with their programs.

Since its inception, the foundation has helped put $9.6 million back into the community.

Just last year alone, they donated $1.5 million to 72 different agencies in the area.

This year, that total is down to 42 organizations receiving $256,000 combined.

The foundation is all about helping the community one donation at a time.

“I think one of the biggest things that The Community Foundation really wants to showcase is how we can support the needs. And we do that through our grant process… and so by allowing us to do these grants, it raises awareness for all the different needs that are in the community,” Jennifer Wethington, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of South-Central Kentucky says.

The Community Foundation is dedicated to building an endowed stream of support for the community, today and for tomorrow, and are a huge assist for the community they serve.
