Commonwealth Boulevard in Kentucky Transpark set for long-term closure

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An upcoming road project is set to cause a long-term road closure in the Kentucky Transpark in Warren County.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3, a bridge repair project on KY 3145 over Commonwealth Boulevard is set to cause a closure starting the morning of Sept. 4.

KYTC says Commonwealth Boulevard will close near the KY 3145 bridge during this time. It is scheduled to reopen on Nov. 15.

The schedule is subject to change.

Transportation officials say a detour will use Prosperity Road, Production Avenue, Fred Madison Road, Jody Richards Drive and U.S. 68 with signs in place.

There will also be closures on the KY 3145 bridge, but that road will remain open. The repair is needed due to a large truck trailer hitting the lower part of the bridge last September, KYTC says.

Message boards have been installed to provide information to motorists about the closure.
