Columbia man dead after vehicle exits roadway in Edmonton

EDMONTON, Ky. – A Columbia man is dead after a his vehicle exited a roadway.
Metcalfe County Sheriff Lonnie Hodges says deputies were dispatched to Delk Branch Road for a single vehicle collision on Tuesday morning.
MCSO’s initial investigation shows Dylan B. Willis, 22 of Columbia, was driving his vehicle eastbound on Delk Branch Road, approximately 6 miles southeast of Edmonton, when the vehicle dropped off the eastbound shoulder.
Sheriff Hodges says the vehicle overcorrected and exited the roadway off the westbound shoulder. The vehicle then struck a guardrail and two trees before coming to a rest.
Willis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Metcalfe County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
Sheriff Hodges says MCSO was assisted by Kentucky State Police, Barren-Metcalfe EMS, Edmonton-Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department, and the Metcalfe County Coroner’s Office.
