Collision leaves 1 dead in Ohio County

BEAVER DAM, Ky. – One person is dead following a crash in Ohio County.

According to a release, the Beaver Dam Police Department responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 700 block of South Main Street Friday.

The release states that a car, driven by Jeri Frazier, 52, of Owensboro, was traveling out of the Key Stop parking lot, located at 724 South Main Street, and attempted to cross the highway and into a driveway.

A van driven by Arce Leneedli, 37, of Beaver Dam, was traveling northbound on South Main Street when Frazier’s car traveled into its path, causing Leneedli’s van to crash into Frazier’s passenger side door, police say.

According to the release, Frazier, Leneedli, and Frazier’s passenger, Bonita Hardin, 63, of Beaver Dam, were transported to Ohio County Hospital.

Hardin was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Frazier and Leneedli were treated for injuries and later released.

The investigation is ongoing.

Beaver Dam Fire and Rescue, Ohio County EMS, Ohio County Sheriff’s Department, and the Ohio County Coroner’s Office assisted the Beaver Dam Police Department at the scene.
