Clothes Closet gives free work clothes to students

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Students at Western Kentucky University got some help dressing for success. At the Gordon Ford College of Business students were able to pick out one complete professional outfit for free on Monday.

It’s all part of the college’s Business and Professional Week.

Students can select items to make up a full outfit, such as a pair of pants, coat, button down shirt and a tie. Or alternatively a skirt, jacket and a blouse. Shoes, scarves, pocket squares and other accessories are also available.

The clothes are all gently-used and donated by alumni, faculty and staff. Or some students are starting from scratch. They are first generation students and they don’t even know what it looks like to dress professionally. So, we do help students pick out their outfits,” said Monica Duvall, Internship and Peak Coordinator at The Gordon Ford College College of Business at Western Kentucky University.

“Some students may have a suit and they just want a new tie to make their suit feel new.
Clothes Closet is open 10 am to 1 pm this week at the Gordon Ford College of Business.
