Clinton County sheriff announces breakthrough in 2-year-old cold case

ALBANY, Ky. – A two-year-old Clinton County cold case is back in the spotlight.

Clinton County Sheriff Ricky Marcum says a Clinton County EMS truck was struck by gunfire on November 30, 2023.

Marcum says visible shotgun pellets were found in the side of the truck after an investigation.

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the incident, but no leads were found.

Marcum says recent developments in the cold case led to the indictment and arrest of Gary Flannery, 48.

The McKee Police Department in Jackson County arrested Flannery

The investigation is ongoing.
