Clarksville police determine double homicide, suicide occurred at home

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police say a double homicide and suicide have been determined as the causes of three deaths at a home.
The Clarksville Police Department responded at about 1:38 p.m. Tuesday to a residence on Idlewood Drive.
Upon arrival, officers say they found three individuals dead inside of the home.
Following an investigation, and in coordination with the Davidson County Medical Examiner’s Office, police say it was determined Scott Powers and his wife, Kathryn Powers, were killed by their son, Michael Powers, who then took his own life.
At this time, investigators say they do not believe there is any threat to the public. No additional information is available for release.
