City police investigate death on Porter Pike

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police are investigating the Friday death of a man inside a transportation business at 263 Porter Pike.

Police were called to the scene at about 1:18 p.m.

Police, firefighters and emergency medical providers responded to Mega Transportation after someone reported an injury at that location, Bowling Green Police Department spokesman Officer Ronnie Ward said.

When police arrived, they found a man deceased on the floor inside of the business.

Detectives responded and immediately began an investigation which included a search of the building and the surrounding property.

Police have not released the cause of death.

The man’s name is being withheld pending notification of family, Ward said.

Warren County Coroner Kevin Kirby said the man’s body will be taken to a state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy Saturday.
