City of Glasgow offering garbage collection discount to some residents

GLASGOW, KY.- If you qualify and are tired of carrying the heavy financial burden of your trash, Glasgow has a discount that will lighten the load.

The City of Glasgow and Glasgow landfill are coming together to take some of the pressure off of senior citizens and people with disabilities by offering a discount on their garbage pickup.

According to a city administrator, April Russell, this is just a small helping hand that the city wants to lend to the people who are in need. April says, “We just want to make sure that everybody is educated and in what services that the city offers so that we can help the community the best possible, and I hope it’s a little relief for them.”
