City of Franklin receives award for new police station

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The City of Franklin is being recognized for the construction of its new police station.
The city said on Friday it received a top category award at the Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana and Kentucky Excellence in Construction Awards Gala.
The award in the Public Works/Environmental projects category in the $3 million to $10 million range is thanks to the police station unveiled in May.
The award was individually presented to the City of Franklin, Brandstetter-Carroll, and Scott, Murphy & Daniel.
The city says mayor Larry Dixon, police chief Roger Solomon and city manager Kenton Powell represented the City at the gala; Mike Walker and Johnathan Snyder represented Scott, Murphy & Daniel and Ian Beattie and Ben Whitmer represented Brandstetter-Carroll.
