City of Bowling Green proclaims November as Adoption Awareness Month

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At City Hall Friday afternoon, commissioners proclaimed November as Adoption Awareness Month in Bowling Green.

Officials from the Family Enrichment Center and other local organizations were on hand to celebrate this announcement.

On the Family Enrichment Center’s website is a list of things that you can do, including of course adopting 1 of 76 children in Bowling Green who are still looking for homes.

We spoke to two members of their staff who told us what people can do if they aren’t able to adopt.

“Finding a group to drop a meal to, buying an extra pack of diapers when you’re at the store, or even just being a good neighbor and checking in with your neighbors around you, or with those who you go to church with or work with,” Samantha Berry, the Family Engagement Director at the Family Enrichment Center says.
