City of Bowling Green holds retirement reception for Karen Foley

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A longtime employee of Neighborhood & Community Services in Bowling Green is celebrated for her years of service as she retires.

Karen Foley is officially retiring from her role as Neighborhood Services Coordinator, and her 29 years of service were celebrated in a reception.

Foley will not be stepping away from the spotlight though, as she will become the new executive director of Hotel Inc.

She tells us seeing people from her time at the Bowling Green Police Department to the City is heartwarming.

“It’s very rewarding to see all these people that I’ve worked with for so very long who are very dear to me… and I’ve said it many, many times, at this point that I am retiring from the city of Bowling Green, but I’m not retiring from people and those relationships… so I’m just really excited about where I’m going, and I’m proud of the service that I’ve had here with the city,” Foley says.

News 40 wants to congratulate Mrs. Karen on her years of service to the community and wish her the best of luck in her new role with Hotel Inc.
