City of Bowling Green auctions off items not needed

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The city of Bowling Green is hosting their annual auction this week.

Any items not needed by city departments or donated by officials are up for grabs.

Items include two cars, an F-450 truck, golf carts, desks, bicycles and much more.

The auction is held through Govdeals.com and pickup will take place at the city’s Fleet Management Division off Raven Avenue.

The city is excited to be able to auction off these items and help them find new life.

“This just gives the community an option to buy things at a cheaper rate than what they would buy on Facebook Marketplace for things like that. Essentially, whenever they do purchase this, the money that is spent, the money that we make, it goes back into our general fund,” Meghan VanMeter, Procurement Manager for the City of Bowling Green says.

An account is needed to bid on any items available. Visit govdeals.com and search “Bowling Green Ky” to find a full list of items.
