Citizens Foster Care Review Board needs more volunteers

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Citizens Foster Care Review Board is looking for roughly 30 volunteers in the Warren County area.

The group trains and places citizens in a position to review cases of individuals and groups of foster children and attempts to help the state and federal government accurately disseminate resources to the children, foster and biological parents.

Rosalyn Patton-Pelt, herself a volunteer, says that some of the interactions she has make a big positive impact.

“You meet these beautiful children who are going into adulthood and they are taking a situation that really could have broken them and they are just, you know, making magic with it. And I know it’s not easy, but those are the things that keep us going. We get to hear and see those that work, you know, all of those things working positively,” Patton-Pelt said.
