Circa Sports opens at The Mint in Franklin

FRANKLIN, KY – Over in Franklin, the ribbon was cut this morning to officially open Circa Sports Kentucky at The Mint.

With college football and the NFL just around the corner, the timing couldn’t be better. The new sportsbook offers an immersive experience, including premium seating, self-service kiosks, and a massive 80-foot LED screen designed to keep fans on the edge of their seats.

Mike Palm, Vice President of Operations at Circa Sports, says the excitement is already building:

“We’re so excited. And, you know, we feel we’ll be able to draw people really from all around the state and from Nashville to come here and have a great experience watching and betting sports,” Palm said. “We really haven’t even launched into our big marketing campaign yet, and already word of mouth is traveling in the area.”

Circa Sports, which started in Las Vegas, has expanded into multiple states, with Kentucky now joining the roster. The new location isn’t just about sports, it’s expected to attract tourists to Franklin and provide a boost to the local economy.

“It’s part of our 18,000 square foot expansion at the main gaming hall that helps the construction industry as well as employment for Circa Sports,” John Vidmar, Vice President of Operations at Mint Gaming Hall, said. “Our focus is on impact to the community, our team members, and the state of Kentucky.”

The grand opening celebration is set for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., featuring live sports action as visitors watch Western Kentucky take on Sam Houston at 6 p.m.
