(CNN) – Tens of thousands of Chrysler vehicles are being recalled because the airbags could malfunction.

Federal safety regulators said the front air bag may not deploy during a crash because of a faulty seat belt sensor.

The recall includes more than 332,000 vehicles.

Among them are the Alfa Romeo Giulia, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Fiat 500, the Jeep Renegade and the Fiat 500e.

Multiple model years are affected. Chrysler dealers will fix the issue at no cost.

The automaker said notification letters will be mailed to drivers starting Aug. 22.

As of June 26, no accidents or injuries related to the recall had been reported.
