Chopper crash kills newlyweds on way to honeymoon

The National Transportation Safety Board is looking into whether night and weather conditions played a role in a helicopter crash that killed a couple headed on their honeymoon.

Officials say Will and Bailee Byler were on a helicopter to San Antonio after celebrating their wedding when it crashed in Uvalde, Texas overnight Sunday.

The N.T.S.B. says the wreckage is scattered over a hundred yards along the side of a hill about five miles from the state highway.

The 76-year-old pilot, who officials described as "highly qualified," also died in the crash.

Officials say the "terrible terrain" and pitch-black conditions made the wreckage difficult to reach for search crews.
