Chick-fil-A is on the way to Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky.- The City of Glasgow is undergoing significant changes as it embraces growth and development. One of the most anticipated projects is the arrival of a new Chick-fil-A, which is currently in the early stages of development.

News 40 spoke with Kevin Myatt, the planning director, who shared that despite facing some challenges due to existing zoning regulations, the city is committed to moving forward with the project.

Myatt emphasized that such a large-scale development will not only attract additional businesses to the area but also necessitate careful planning to protect local neighborhoods.

The District 3 transportation department is working alongside the Planning Commission to address these concerns.

Myatt revealed Chick-fil-A is expected to submit a development plan within the next month.

Additionally, the Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. to discuss the project and gather community input. This meeting will be an important opportunity for residents to learn more about the upcoming changes and voice their opinions.
