Chesterton Academy announces first headmaster
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A new catholic high school is coming to South Central Kentucky this August and Tuesday it announced its new Headmaster.
Dr. Tom Stewart, of Bowling Green, was selected to serve as the first structural leader of the Chesterton Academy of Bowling Green at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Stewart has been an educator for over 30 years spending time in the classroom at the grade school and college level with experience as a school administrator.
He is currently serving as Educational Recovery Director at the Kentucky Department of Education and will step down from that position in June.
“We are looking forward to bringing Catholic high school education back to Bowling Green for the first time in nearly 60 years,” said Stewart
The new Headmaster will assist in reviewing student applications, hiring teachers and preparing the school for its opening in August 2026.
