Cheers! BG Wine Fest a hit with wine lovers
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Wine lovers got a treat Saturday at the Historic Railpark & Train Museum during the BG Wine Fest.
Kentucky wineries, musicians and food truck operators set up shop at the Railpark late Saturday morning for the third wine fest at the Historic Railpark.
“We’ve got wineries from all across Kentucky here on site serving up some great samples of fantastic wine that you just can’t get unless you want to hop in your car and drive all over the state,” Railpark director Jamie Johnson said.
“We’ve also got some great food vendors,” Johnson said. “We’ve got live music, so our guests are coming out, they’re sampling wine, having great food, listening to great music. It’s a wonderful day.”
Wineries from Paducah, Lexington, Louisville and many local wineries served up samples of their best vino.
“We’re doing the BG Wine Fest because, first of all, we want people to taste great wine,” Johnson said. “Second of all, we want to bring people down to the Historic Railpark & Train Museum and show you that we are more than just trains.
“We’ve got a great historic venue. We want the community to know that you can come out and enjoy this place,” she said
The event helps support the Railpark and allows them to preserve history.
Marquee Backstage hosted live music on the lawn.
