Chamber to host job fair for high school seniors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an inaugural high school senior job fair on May 7.

The virtual event will feature one on one interviews with students separating from high school in Warren or Allen County and going directly into the workforce.

If a business has at least four openings that they would be willing to hire a high school graduate for and would like to participate, they can visit their website here. The cost is $350.

Meredith Rozanski, COO of the Chamber says job fairs like this are a sign that the local economy is thriving as we are recovering from the pandemic and it’s a great opportunity for high school seniors.

“The young talent, especially when you’re coming out of high school your network in the community is relatively small. And this is a great way for the Chamber, as the voice of business to be able to connect those companies who are looking for the talent with those students that are seeking those opportunities,” said Rozanski.

Rozanski said they tried to have the fair last year but due to COVID-19 it was cancelled. She also said they hope to expand it to students in all 10 counties in the future.
