Chamber holds 86th Annual Celebration
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- On Thursday night, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated their 86th Annual Celebration at the Sloan Convention Center.
Local business leaders, elected officials, regional partners and special guests gathered at the program presented by Graves Gilbert Clinic.
People had the option to attend the event in person or watch virtually. The event was much different from previous years’ pre-pandemic, featuring a stand up style reception to follow COVID-19 guidelines.
Ron Bunch, chief executive officer and president of the Chamber said during the event they reflected on big achievements over the past year like naming three of the top 10 development projects in Kentucky and another 123 partners joining the chamber.
Bunch said it was great to finally have a safe, in-person event during these times.
“People enjoyed seeing one another. I had people even say I haven’t dressed up in a year, it felt so nice to get dressed up and feel that feeling of being out and being in that environment and even just people needing to connect with one another,” he said.
They also named Chris Thorn of Graves Gilbert Clinic the new 2021 Chairman of the Board of Directors.
