Certain corn dog products recalled due to wood material in batter

(CNN) – Hillshire Brands is recalling some of its products.

Federal inspectors with the United States Department of Agriculture made the announcement over the weekend.

The company says it will recall 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage on a stick products.

The items could contain pieces of wood within the batter.

The products were sold online and shipped to stores across the country.

The recall came after the company received several complaints.

At least five people were hurt.

The company says shoppers who have these products should either throw them out or return them to the store for a refund.
