Cayman Islands Classic Tournament Moves Locations
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – When WKU’s men’s basketball team plays in the 2020 Cayman Islands Classic later this November, they won’t actually be traveling to the Cayman Islands to play their games.
That’s because earlier today, the sports website Stadium.com reported that the tournament is moving to Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The annual tournament is still scheduled to take place from November 23-25 and will feature a field that includes WKU, Kansas State, La Salle, Miami (Fl.), Nevada, Northern Iowa, Ole Miss and Oregon State.
The Tops will kick off their 2020-21 campaign on the road at in-state rival Louisville on November 11th.
