Caverna Independent Schools employee suspended during ongoing investigation

HORSE CAVE, Ky. – An investigation is currently ongoing regarding a video shared on social media that allegedly includes a Caverna Independent Schools employee.

Amanda Abell, superintendent of Caverna Independent Schools, shared the following statement regarding the matter:

“The incident shown on social media is being investigated by the school district, local law enforcement and the Department for Community Based Services. The employee involved has been suspended with pay pending the results of the investigation, which we anticipate will be completed soon.”

“The safety of our students is always our first priority, and we will take all appropriate action to ensure that continues to remain our priority.”

The employee’s identity was not released by school officials.
