Cave City man charged with sexual abuse of a child in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Cave City man is facing charges related to sexual abuse of a child.

According to a uniform citation, the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Department arrested 38-year-old Samuel Scarbrough Tuesday on an active indictment warrant out of Warren County.

Scarbrough faces charges of unlawful transaction with a minor, first offense, illegal sex act under 16 years of age, and first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12 years of age.

The uniform citation further states the violation date of the alleged incident was Tuesday, June 25.

Deputies say two cell phones and five SIM cards were seized from the individual, which could affect charges of the indictment.

Scarbrough remains at the Warren County Detention Center on a $10,025 cash bond.
