Cave City man arrested after narcotics investigation at residence

CAVE CITY, Ky.- A Cave City man is behind bars, after police say they found a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine inside a residence.

According to Cave City police, officers executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Grinstead Mill Road in reference to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Once inside, officers say they located the suspected methamphetamine, digital scales and other items used to traffic drugs.

Police arrested Michael Johnson, 32. He’s charged with first-degree trafficking a controlled substance-over two grams (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Johnson is lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

Police say the case is ongoing and further arrests and charges are possible.
