Case against man accused of robbery and stabbing to be heard by grand jury

A Warren District judge found probable cause Wednesday to send the robbery and stabbing case against Tyrone Rickett to an upcoming grand jury.

Rickett, 29, is accused of robbing two men and stabbing one of those men July 11, according to his arrest citation.

Two men told police Rickett robbed them in the 100 block of Creekwood Drive. During the reported robbery, one man said he was shot with what officers determined had been a pellet gun and another man suffered serious injuries from being stabbed, according to the citation.

An independent witness reported seeing Rickett with a knife after the incident. Rickett denied involvement in the robbery and assaults.

He is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree assault.

Rickett was arrested July 12 and remains lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
