CASA celebrates 20 years of service, advocacy for Kentucky children
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At the Warren County Justice Center on Tuesday courthouse officials and representatives from CASA of South Central Kentucky joined to recognize 20 years of aiding vulnerable children in Kentucky who experience abuse.
The ceremony included a proclamation read by City Commissioner Sue Perrigin and County Attorney Amy Milliken.
There was also a ribbon cutting led by the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce.
The Executive Director of CASA, Jana Sublett, said they have increased the number of Kentucky children they’ve served.
However, that hasn’t come without challenges along the way.
Sublett says she hopes in another 20 years CASA won’t be necessary.
For now, she encourages anyone in the community to volunteer and help serve children facing abuse.
