CASA adds new talent to board of directors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. –  CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of South Central Kentucky, an agency that provides trained citizen volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in the family court systems throughout the region, recently announced that three new Board of Directors have joined their team.  The following individuals will be volunteering their time and talents to the organization’s board:

Debra Diamond, Graves Gilbert Clinic

Jessica Gifford, BKD, LLP

Jeffrey Peake, Western KY University

This group of community minded leaders from around the region bring a variety of backgrounds and experience including human resources, event planning, construction, management, marketing/PR, sales/fundraising and accounting.  They joined an established Board of Directors of 17, 6 CASA employees, and 88 volunteer advocates.

“We are extremely excited to have new, talented Board Members to help us bring more awareness to the CASA mission.  CASA is a working board, and we are ready to put this crop of fresh, energetic talent to work for the vulnerable children in our region,” reports Jana Sublett, Executive Director CASA of South Central KY.

“We are so fortunate to have a diverse board of professionals.  This new group of Board Members will be no different.  I am looking forward to having them on our team to do all we can to support the CASA mission and the vulnerable children we advocate for,” stated Brooke Schakat, incoming Board President for CASA of South Central KY.
