Carroll County man facing life in prison after being found guilty of rape

CARROL Co.,- The Kentucky State Police say a Carroll County man has been found guilty of raping and sodomizing a relative for a decade, beginning when she was less than 12 years old.

Kentucky State Police said detectives received a report on June 16, 2021, of a suspect sexually abusing a juvenile relative over 10 years.

Through investigation, state police determined the female victim had been sexually abused multiple times during the 10 years when she was a juvenile. The investigation also revealed two additional victims of sexual abuse.

The investigation resulted in the indictment and arrest of Terry Glacken, 50, of Carrollton, on November 15, 2021.

Glacken’s trial began in Carroll Circuit Court on November 6, 2024, and concluded two days later with Glacken being found guilty of two counts of first-degree rape by forcible compulsion, first-degree rape to a victim under the age of 12, first-degree sodomy to a victim under the age of 12, two counts of first-degree sex abuse to a victim under the age of 12, first-degree sexual abuse, and incest.

Glacken faces up to life in prison when he is formally sentenced in January 2025.
