Car show in Munfordville to benefit Hart County Search and Rescue

MUNFORDVILLE, Ky. – A car show is set to take over the square in Munfordville on June 21st, with proceeds going towards the Hart County Search and Rescue team.

Registration starts at 9 that morning and costs $20. There will also be food and vendors on hand as well… but one of the exciting attractions besides the cars themselves will be an appearance by Quinn Shireman from Street Outlaws on the Discovery Channel.

The Search and Rescue team says this is one of the main ways they’re able to raise money each year, so they’d love to see the community come out and support them.

“We do not get tax dollars, we don’t have a tax line on our tax bills in the county… so we fundraise for all of our money, so this helps for our trainings, for our equipment and helps us respond to those emergencies when we do get called out. Without these fundraising dollars that we earn, we are not able to respond to these emergencies,” treasurer Julia Wilson says.

Awards take place at 1 PM, and the cars will be on display until 3.
