Car crashes into house off Old Morgantown Road

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday afternoon, a car drove through two houses on Sharon Drive off of Old Morgantown Road.

The car drove first through a fence, then through one house’s wall, then finally through another homeowner’ detached garage door where it came to a stop.

Kentucky State Police say the vehicle appears to be stolen.

The first house is now missing one full wall. The garage door was heavily damaged. Both property owners said they couldn’t believe the incident happened.

The property owner of the detached garage said the driver tried to flee the scene, but police have not yet confirmed this information. A neighbor took video of police detaining the man.

The Kentucky State Police and the Bowling Green Fire Department responded to the incident. Atmos Energy is on the scene checking for gas leaks.
