K105 reports a deputy responded, however, he did not see anyone around the residence.

The homeowner later showed the deputy surveillance footage, which showed the suspect “on the porch attempting to enter the home,” according to a uniform citation.

Later that morning, the citation states the homeowner contacted police again and said the suspect had “stabbed his car tire in the side wall with scissors.”

Upon arrival and viewing surveillance video, the suspect was identified as 41-year-old Nicholas Embry.

According to the citation, authorities responded to Embry’s residence and showed him the surveillance video, and Embry admitted it was him and that he was “looking for a female.”

Embry also admitted to taking lawn equipment from the home and to stabbing the tire, authorities say.

Embry was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and theft by unlawful taking.

He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.
