Candlelight vigil to be held for Ohio County infant, Miya Rudd

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Funeral arrangements and a candlelight vigil for the Ohio County infant that was missing have been announced.
According to an obituary by Glenn Family Services, a Service of Remembrance is scheduled for July 25 at 6 p.m.
Visitation will also take place at Pleasant Valley Community Church at 4 p.m.
The obituary says the evening will end with candlelight to remind them “that Miya’s light still shines.”
Miya Rudd was born in Owensboro on October 12, 2023 at 5:37 a.m., according to the obituary.
“Miya, lovingly called Smiley by those closest to her, had a special bond with her brother who could always bring out the most infectious laughter and smile from her,” the page states.
She was roughly 8 months old.
An infant’s body consistent with Miya Rudd was found at her family’s residence last month.
Multiple arrests have followed, including the child’s parents grandparents, 49-year-old Billie Smith, 56-year-old Ricky Smith, 53-year-old David Tucker and 50-year-old Taletha Tucker. Her parents, Cage Rudd and Tesla Tucker, were arrested, along with two other people on drug charges in separate incidents.
