Caboni announces salary increase for WKU staff
Employees at Western Kentucky University, from the janitors to the professors, will soon be getting a pay raise.
President Tim Caboni made the announcement during his convocation speech.
Caboni announced that all employees hired on or before July 1, 2018, will receive a 2% salary increase on January 1, 2019, and will be eligible for a merit increase up to 4%.
"It is important that we support all of our employees with a reasonable cost of living increase, but it is equally important to reward those employees who are performing at the highest levels. The balance allows us to do both," said Caboni.
The pay raise is the largest for WKU faculty and staff in the last ten years.
