Butler County man accused of child sexual exploitation offense

Morgantown, Ky. – Kentucky State Police Post 3 arrested Richie T. Bratcher, 51, of Morgantown on charges related to prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor.

Bratcher was arrested as the result of an investigation after someone found sexually explicit messages to a minor, according to a release from the state police.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence near Morgantown, according to the release.

Police said equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized for examination, according to the release. The investigation is ongoing.

Bratcher has been charged with three counts of prohibited use of an electronic communication system to procure a minor. He is currently lodged in the Butler County Detention Center.

The investigation remains open.
