Butler County awarded $312,000 for road projects

MORGANTOWN, Ky.- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has awarded $312,000 to Butler County for resurfacing work on Caney Fork Road and Love Brooklyn Road.

The announcement was made at Monday’s Fiscal Court meeting.

The resurfacing repairs will address existing surface cracks, potholes, raveling and base failures.

Caney Fork Road is utilized by a volunteer fire department station, a church, 15 local families and the farming community. Love Brooklyn Road is a connector road between KY 340 and KY 411. The roadway is also part of the Butler County School System bus route and is utilized by a volunteer fire department and 15 families.

The Butler County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will reimburse the county for the projects.
