Butler County Animal Shelter gives away clothes
MORGANTOWN, Ky. – It’s a small way to give back and they’re happy to do it.
The Butler County Animal Shelter gave away clothes today from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will plan to again from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on August 10.
Ruby Fooks, director of the shelter, said it kills two birds with one stone and they’re happy to do it. With everyone going back to school, the shelter said they’re just wanting to help out those who need it.
Fooks also encouraged the community to visit their yard sale every first and third Friday and Saturday of every month. She said though they are partially funded by the county, it takes a lot to keep the doors open.
She also said the shelter is in great need of volunteers for whoever could help out.
