Businesses close due to weather conditions

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- Just as some businesses were beginning to recover from the pandemic, icy conditions have led to more temporary closures.

Many locally owned businesses and restaurants have had to close outside of normal closure hours due to the wintery mix and its effect on roads.

The weather has caused a lot of people to remain indoors, creating a similar effect to the start of the Covid-19 pandemic almost a year ago.

Despite this closure, business owners like co-owner of the Bike Rack Bistro Patrick Folker said the community rallied together for these businesses once restrictions lifted, and he knows the same thing will happen once the weather clears.

“I track our drive-thru window vs dine in, and we’re seeing a decline in the drive-thru and an uptick in dine-in. once this is finally over with, hopefully late spring and early summer, it’s going to be awesome,” Folker said.
