Buchanon and other officials sworn in Friday morning in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Warren County held its swearing in ceremony Friday morning for officials who were victorious in November’s election.

Dozens of people packed the Fiscal Courtroom to witness the swearing in ceremony.

Among those sworn in were Sheriff Brett Hightower, County Attorney, Amy Milliken and County Coroner, Kevin Kirby.

The Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court, John Minton Jr., administered the oath of office to a majority of the elected officials.

Judge-Executive, Michael Buchanon, was also sworn in for the seventh time.

“It seems that at the end of each term, I’m more and more gratified by being able to make a difference in so many people’s lives,” said Buchanon. “It’s something that has a greater value than money. You get a feeling of accomplishment that you really can’t get in a private business.”

Buchanon says during his tenure as Judge-Executive, he’s most proud of the time he’s spent on initiatives pertaining to jobs and parks.
