Brownsville man charged with DUI

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – On Saturday around 10:45 p.m., an Edmonson County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a Chevrolet Blazer traveling eastbound on Morgantown Road at a high rate of speed and crossing the center and white lines.

The deputy initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Oscar Raymer and Morgantown Road and identified the driver of the vehicle as Mark Renfro, 56, of Brownsville, according to a release by ECSO.

Renfro was arrested and charged with reckless driving, failure to produce an insurance card, failure to register/transfer of motor vehicle, oeprating motor vehicle under/influence of alcohol/substance, first, poss cont sub, first degree, second offense (methamphetamine), drug paraphernalia – buy/possess and poss of open alcoholic beverage cont in motor veh prohibited.

Renfro was lodged in the Hart County Jail.
