Brooks Houck, Joseph Lawson booked in Warren Co. Regional Jail ahead of trial

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two men facing trial in connection with the death of Crystal Rogers have been booked in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Jail records state 43-year-old Brooks Houck and 34-year-old Joseph Stephen Lawson were booked on Thursday, June 19. The trial for both men is scheduled for June 24 at 9 a.m. at the Warren County Justice Center.

Joseph Lawson is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence, while Houck, Rogers’ ex-boyfriend, faces charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.

This follows the death of Rogers, who disappeared from Bardstown in 2015 and whose body was never found.

Last month, News 40 brought you coverage of a trial for a third man in connection to this case, Steven Lawson, who was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.

On May 30, a jury found Steven Lawson guilty on all charges after the four-day trial in Bowling Green and unanimously recommended a 17-year sentence, with final sentencing scheduled for Aug. 6 at the Nelson County Circuit Court.
