NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) – The former boyfriend of Crystal Rogers is facing an arraignment Thursday afternoon at the Nelson County Courthouse.

Brooks Houck was arrested on Sept. 27, facing charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the case eight years after Rogers went missing.

The development is the latest update in the 2015 disappearance of Rogers.

Houck will appear in court via video conference as he’s being held in Hardin County.

During the hearing, the judge is expected to hear a motion filed by Houck’s attorneys to lower his $10 million bond to $500,000 full cash.

His attorneys argue his bond is unprecedented and unconstitutional.

This is a developing story. We will provide further details as they are released.
