Brooks Houck arrested in Crystal Rogers disappearance case

BARDSTOWN, Ky. (WAVE) – For years, police have called Brooks Houck their main suspect.

Tonight, Houck is in jail charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.

He’s accused of killing Crystal Rogers in July 2015.

Rogers went missing around July 3, 2015.

People immediately started searching for Rogers. The FBI took over the investigation in 2020, leading them to search Houck’s properties.

The general sentiment in Bardstown, Kentucky is that it’s about time.

However, it’s still early in the judicial process.

It’s not yet clear what led to the arrest or what evidence made them arrest their only public suspect.

Houck is currently being held at the Hardin County Detention Center.
