Broadway United Methodist church outdoor Easter service at the ballpark a success
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-A local church is looking back on an Easter service unlike any they’ve had before.
Broadway United Methodist Church had a unique take on their Easter Sunday service by taking it to the Bowling Green ballpark. This was done so social distancing guidelines were followed, all while giving a lot of people the option to attend.
According to church staff, an estimated 1700 people were in attendance. The service also featured a live worship band. This was done with collaboration between the church and the Bowling Green Hot Rods.
One of the church’s pastors Laura Vincent said the service turnout exceeded her expectations.
“We have a strong community. A community that does work together, a community that wants to make Bowling Green the best city it possibly can be. I think that was very evident as we worked with the Hot Rods to make sure we were able to offer this gift to the city of Bowling Green,” Vincent said.
