Broadway UMC’s Early Learning Center has served kids for 22 years
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One local early learning center is doing more than educating.
They’re demonstrating the importance of knowing Jesus at an early age.
For 22 years they have changed the lives of kids and families in a positive way.
The Early Learning Center at Broadway United Methodist Church was started in 1997.
It offers a vast curriculum including Spanish, music, chapel, fire safety, a dental program, and even vision screenings.
The ELC is also preparing kids to be high-school ready by providing an enriching education.
The pre-kindergarten student exit exams confirm high academic standards with student testing at kindergarten or above.
They also have low student-teacher ratio with two teachers per classroom in a highly secure environment.
Of course, playtime is an essential part of their curriculum as well.
Broadway’s ELC offers an indoor and outdoor playground so kids can play year round.
The Director, Tonya Simpson, has been involved for 12 years.
She says the ELC is providing kids a foundation for becoming positive examples in the community.
Simpson says this year they have almost 220 students enrolled in the center schoolwide.
