Bristow Elementary reveals new indoor slide
It’s something you normally don’t see inside a school building.
Bristow Elementary students were surprised to see a slide inside the school when they arrived this morning.
This bright, red, two story, tunnel slide was installed just week for the start of the new school year.
School officials got the idea from the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia.
The principal tells us the slide is for more than just fun. It teaches students a valuable life lesson.
“The slide is not just a tool for fun or excitement. It is also a symbol Mr. Clark speaks very highly of. Sometimes in life you cant always take the same path. You cant always take the stairs so sometimes you have to create your own path. So it’s a symbol of students working very hard and being successful and developing their own path.” Says Chris Stunson, the principal of Bristow Elementary School.
Mr. Stunson says they have not decided if the slide will be open at all times or just for special occasions.
Alvaton Elementary also has a new similar slide in their building as well.
